Make the last PAIR

Instructions for use

Here we use grey PAIR to represents bound PAIR, and DarkSlateBlue PAIR to represents Move PAIR.
The location of the Move PAIR does not mean that there must be a PAIR there, but it must include all the bound PAIRs and cannot be dismantled.

Preparation

Here F face is orange or red, U face is yellow or white, and R face is blue or green. EO has been done.

or

The bound PAIRs is placed as shown on the left, and the entire 2x2x3 black area is placed at the position of FBLD.

The corner and the edge , do not belong to any bound PAIRs and are placed on the R, U layer, and are not yet a PAIR.

or

The position of the corner in the U layer or in the R layer is at the puple position as shown on the right.

or

For the convenience of explanation, the purple position shown on the left is given a name, called the "ne" position.

The following discussion on this page is only limited to the R and U layers. All rotations are only discussed in the rotations limited to R and U.

Goal

Just rotate R,U to turn the corner and the edge into a PAIR, or the corner and the edge into a PAIR.

Incision

If the edge is in the purple area as shown on the left,

or

And the corner have the same two colors as the edge on the pink facelets as shown on the right.
This is called "Yellow Incision".

If the above-mentioned edge is replaced by edge , it is called "Blue Incision".
Regardless of whether it is "Yellow Incision" or "Blue Incision", they are collectively referred to as "Incision".

Under Incision, you can easily and directly achieve the goal.

How to achieve the goal under Incision?

When it becomes Yellow Incision, and the initial state is that the edge is between Parallel Move PAIRs as shown on the left, then do IPM not interchange the Move PAIR covering the corner .
If that set of Parallel Move PAIRs is in the U layer, then do that IPM on U. If that set of Parallel Move PAIRs is in the R layer, then do that IPM on R.

It will become as shown on the right, and you can complete the goal by doing PTM later.
Of course, if the initial state is as shown on the right, then just do PTM directly.

Additional notes:
If you want to extend this skill so that it can be used when the edge is not in the R,U layer, but can be used with S2 or E2, you can use S2 or E2 to directly turn that edge to the position shown on the right.

The Blue Incision is done in the same way, except that the edge is replaced by edge .
An example is shown on the left.

PTM to Incision skill

or

And the corner have the same two colors as the edge on the pink facelets as shown on the left.

If the position of the edge is not in the purple position as shown on the right, then directly do PTM to enter Yellow Incision. Otherwise, do IPM not interchange the Move PAIR covering the corner first to avoid the puple position as shown on the right, and then do PTM to enter the Yellow Incision.

If you replace the edge mentioned above with edge , you will enter the Blue Incision.
An example is shown on the left.

This skill is called the "PTM to Incision" skill.

IPM to Incision skill

or

And the corner have the same two colors as the edge on the pink facelets as shown on the left.

If the position of the edge is not at the "ne" position, then do IPM interchange the Move PAIR covering the corner will enter Yellow Incision.

If you replace the edge mentioned above with edge , you will enter the Blue Incision.

This skill is called the "IPM to Incision" skill.

Not an Incision

Except for the situations listed below, all other situations are within Incision.

either the edge or is at the "ne" position

or

If either the edge or is at the "ne" position, and there is only one orange color in the pink facelets as shown on the right, then this situation is not an Incision.

or

If there is an orange color in the pink facelets as shown on the left, then do PTM to Incision skill.

If there is no orange color in the pink facelets as shown on the left, then do IPM to Incision skill.

neither the edge nor is at the "ne" position

or

If neither the edge nor is at the "ne" position, and the orange facelet of corner is as shown on the left, then this situation is not an Incision.
At this time, both PTM to Incision skill and IPM to Incision skill can enter Incision.
