Relative Orientation

Instructions for use

For the convenience of explanation, use to represent the corner that does not consider the twisting orientation.

Here we use DarkSlateBlue PAIR to represents Move PAIR.
The location of the Move PAIR does not mean that there must be a PAIR there, but it must include all the bound PAIRs and cannot be dismantled.

The color on a cubie is dark, it means that the cubie is covered by a Move PAIR.

The so-called two colors are "Opposite Color", which means that the colors of the center that is opposite to each other, that is, yellow and white are "Opposite Color", orange and red are "Opposite Color", blue and green are "Opposite Color".

We will observe the relative orientation of two corners , .

Same Orientation

or

These 4 corners are placed on the R, U layer. Three Move PAIRs are given on the R, U layer, and two of the Move PAIRs can be turned into a set of Parallel Move PAIRs on the R layer as shown on the left only through R, U face rotation,
and that set of Parallel Move PAIRs does not cover any of the corners ,
and the remaining Move PAIR cover the corner .

At this time, on the U layer, use Orientation Windows shown in pink on the right to cover the corners so that these three corners all have a window on them.
Observe the colors on the Orientation Windows of two corners , on the U layer. If these two colors are Opposite Color or the same color, we call it "Same Orientation".

mro number

The so-called "mro number" is the relative twist orientation of two corners used for PM's operation.
These 4 corners are placed on the U layer.
Observe two corners of the arrow head and tail in the direction of the arrow on the U layer as shown on the right.

  • If the colors of that two corners on the pink Orientation Windows in the direction of the arrow are
(white or yellow) → (green or blue), or
(green or blue) → orange, or
    orange → (white or yellow),
    then "mro number" is +1.
  • If the colors of that two corners on the pink Orientation Windows in the direction of the arrow are Opposite Color or the same color,
    then "mro number" is 0.
  • If it is not +1 or 0, then mro number is −1.
